Health In Action Discussion Groups or Listservs have been created to facilitate discussion in topic areas of:

Alberta Breastfeeding Network [1]
The Alberta Breastfeeding Network (ABN) is open to anyone interested in breastfeeding. The listserv will be moderated to ensure no unsolicited advertising will be processed.

AB-IBCLCs [2] (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant)*
The purpose of this listserv is to facilitate a network of sharing between IBCLCs across Alberta. The IBCLCs in Alberta mailing list has been sponsored by the Alberta Breastfeeding Committee and is a closed listserv, which means that only currently certified IBCLCs who live in Alberta will be able to access the discussions. Only members approved by the moderators will be invited to subscribe to this list.

Alberta Healthy Weights [3] *
This listserv has been created to enhance networking among those working in the area of healthy weights for children and youth in Alberta. (Restricted Membership; please enquire with HIA prior to subscribing). 

Alberta Social and Health Equities Network [4]
The Alberta Social and Health Equities Network (ASHEN) Listserv is hosted by Health In Action and has been developed through the "Growing Food Security in Alberta Network [5]". This listserv has been created to enhance communication among ASHEN members. It is a mechanism for the sharing ideas, activities, projects, and research in the area of related to social and health equity in Alberta.

The purpose of the foodsecurityalberta listserv is to provide a mechanism for individuals interested in food security in Alberta to communicate and network electronically. Join the Growing Food Security in Alberta' (GFSA) - Network [10]then join the listserv.

Health In Action Update [11]
The hia_update will entitle supporters and contacts to receive a monthly digest form of What's New on Health In Action.

Health Promotion Research [12]
hpresearch is an opportunity to share research issues, methods, and findings and discuss its application to health promotion in Alberta.

Healthy Living Network [13]
Healthy-living is an opportunity for practitioners to build capacity by sharing knowledge, skills and resources related to health promotion and chronic disease prevention.

Injury Prevention [14]
The no-injuries is a forum for discussion on topics and issues related to injury prevention providing practitioners with the opportunity to communicate and network with others in their fields.

Safe Communities [15]
The safecommunities listserv has been created to enhance networking among Safe Community members.

School Health [16]
The schoolhealth listserv has been created to enhance networking and sharing among those involved with and interested in school health. It includes health professionals, teachers, administrators, government and others! It is hoped that participants will use this opportunity to share their programs, thoughts, experiences and questions related to school health.

Sexual Health Connections* [17]
The shconnections listserv has been created to enhance networking among STD/Sexual Health Educators in Alberta. The purpose of this listserv is to provide a mechanism for individuals working in the field of sexual health to communicate electronically.

Sport Nutrition Specialists of Alberta* [18]
The sportnutrition listserv has been created to enhance networking among Sport Nutrition Specialist (SNS) Educators in Alberta. (Restricted Membership; please enquire with HIA prior to subscribing)

South West Alberta Coalition on Poverty [19] *
This listserv is intended to enhance communication and information sharing among poverty coalition members and community partners in southern Alberta. (Restricted Membership; please enquire with HIA prior to subscribing)

(c) a virtual workspace for health promoters to work together.
